Job Summary:
The Global Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of a global organization. They provide strategic financial leadership, drive financial performance, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies across multiple countries and regions. The role requires strong international finance expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute global financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
2. Provide financial guidance and insights to senior management and regional finance teams.
3. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes on a global scale.
4. Monitor and analyse financial performance across regions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
5. Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize global liquidity and financial stability.
6. Ensure compliance with international financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
7. Collaborate with regional finance teams to develop and implement consistent financial policies, procedures, and controls.
8. Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
9. Evaluate and manage foreign exchange risks and develop hedging strategies as needed.
10. Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and tax advisors across different jurisdictions.
11. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
12. Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations on global investments, capital allocation, and business expansion.
13. Monitor economic and industry trends across global markets and provide insights on potential risks and opportunities.
14. Manage and develop a high-performing global finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred).
2. Proven experience as a Finance Executive or similar role with a global scope.
3. Strong knowledge of international finance principles, practices, and regulations.
4. In-depth understanding of global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and tax laws.
5. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
6. Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on a global scale.
7. Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and risk assessment.
8. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving financial performance.
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
10. Experience in managing mergers, acquisitions, and complex financial transactions across different countries.
11. Advanced proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
12. Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial decision-making.
13. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time hours | 35 hrs per week
Working days: Monday - Friday | 9am - 5pm
