Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper/Cook and General House Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the house, preparing meals for the family, managing household budgets.

​

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain the house to a high standard, including dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, and changing bedding.
• Plan, buy food shop to cook light salads & healthy meals for the family, ensuring that dietary requirements and preferences are taken into account.
• Perform laundry and ironing duties, including washing and folding clothes, and ensuring that clothes are put away in the correct places.
• Ensure family cat is checked and fed daily while family away.

 

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of managing household budgets and staff.
• Fresh salads and healthy dishes.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• A proactive and can-do attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and
tidiness.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 

​

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.

​

Working Conditions

• Initially 3-4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. (Ideally 2pm start to 5.30/6pm but will be flexible for the right candidate.)
• The role is based in a private household, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
• The role may require working evenings and weekends, and some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate the needs of the family.
• The role may require travel, both domestically and internationally.

 

Salary: The salary for this role will be competitive with experience. Benefits may include health insurance,
retirement plan, paid time off, and other perks as agreed upon by the employer and employee.

Hours: Full-time hours | 30 hrs per week

Working days: Monday - Friday
