Job Summary:
The Management Accountant plays a crucial role in providing financial analysis, insights, and support to the management team. They are responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, and management reports, analyzing financial data, and assisting in strategic decision- making. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively. The successful candidate will have ‘Entitled Worker’ status.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including financial statements, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the management team and department heads.
3. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency and profitability.
4. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
5. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team, contributing to strategic planning and goal setting.
6. Collaborate with other departments to develop and track departmental budgets and cost control measures.
7. Prepare and review cost analysis reports, identifying cost drivers and recommending cost- saving initiatives.
8. Perform profitability analysis for products, services, and projects, assisting in pricing decisions and profitability improvement strategies.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
10. Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis for business planning and investment evaluation.
11. Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
12. Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
13. Provide training and support to non-financial stakeholders on financial concepts and processes.
14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certifications eg. CMA or ACCA advantageous).
2. Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
3. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and management reporting.
4. Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
6. Excellent proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
7. Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management software.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
9. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
10. Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance requirements.
11. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
12. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
13. Proactive mindset and ability to identify areas for process improvement.​
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time hours | 35 hrs per week
Working days: Monday - Friday | 9am - 5pm
